Bouldering and Rock Climbing

Kleinfontein is located in the world famous Rocklands area. There are five notable bouldering locations on the property including "Hatchling" and "Sky". Please note that a valid permit is required for bouldering. This permit can be obtained from the Kliphuis Campsite Office, Clanwilliam Information Centre or De Pakhuys.

Caves and Ancient Art

Ancient Khoi-San rock art can be found in the area. Please note that the law protects all rock art in South Africa. Each site is unique and important and should be treated with care and respect. The art is easily damaged and should not be interacted with in any way - take only photographs. Follow the motto: "Leave only your footprints behind."

Mountain Biking

Kleinfontein's landscape is ideal for mountain biking with a variety of tracks available. Bring your own bike and take part in this great opportunity. For more experienced riders, the Pakhuis Pass is just down the road.

Wildlife Watching

There is a variety of native wildlife found on the property including duikers, klipspringers, rock hyraxes (dassies), aardvarks and more.
